The ATT Working Group meetings and 2nd CSP6 Informal Preparatory meeting that were scheduled to take place from 14 – 17 April 2020 were cancelled by the President of the Sixth Conference of States Parties (CSP6) to the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), in light of the developments regarding COVID-19.
The CSP6 President notified ATT stakeholders of a plan that would allow the work of CSP6 to continue remotely in the intersessional period to ensure necessary decisions can be taken by CSP6 guiding the work of the next CSP cycle. The plan is designed to enable the office bearers to consult with ATT stakeholders remotely on the documents to be submitted to CSP6, and to finalise the documents for timely submission to CSP6.
Draft documents for CSP6 were circulated to all ATT stakeholders on or by 21 April (and made available on this webpage) to enable ATT stakeholders to review the documents and prepare their comments and recommendations to their respective authors. ATT stakeholders will be requested to submit their comments on the draft documents, in writing, to the ATT Secretariat at info@thearmstradetreaty.org by 21 May 2020.
