The Eighth Conference of States Parties (CSP8) to the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) is scheduled to take place as follows:

CSP8 OPENING SESSION

The opening session of the Conference will take place on Monday, 22 August 2022, from 10h00 -11h00 and will be addressed by the following invited speakers:


  1. H.E. Ms. Annalena BAERBOCK, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany
  2. H.E. Mr. Peter MAURER, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
  3. Ms. Melanie REGIMBAL, Head of ODA's Geneva Office, representing the Under-Secretary-General and UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs
  4. Mr. Alejandro CASTAÑEDA MEDINA, Disarmament Analyst, Colombian Campaign to Ban Landmines (Control Arms)

   

THEMATIC DISCUSSION ON POST SHIPMENT CONTROLS

The thematic discussion on Post Shipment Controls will take place from 11h15 to 13h00. The session will take the format of a panel discussion involving the following persons:

  1. Mr. Axel KRICKOW, Deputy Head of Division, Federal Office for Economic Affiars and Export Control (BAFA), Germany
  2. H.E. Mr. Simon PLÜSS, Deputy Head: Bilateral Economic Relations and Head of Arms Control and Arms Control Policy Sector at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), Switzerland
  3. Mr. Isaac MORALES TENORIO, Coordinator for Multidimensional Security at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mexico
  4. Mr. Michael HUMBEK, Chief Executive Officer, Dynamit Nobel Defence, Germany
  5. Mr. Mark BROMLEY, Director of the SIPRI Dual-Use and Arms Trade Control Programme
