Procedure to follow when applying to make a financial arrangement with the ATT Secretariat in terms of Rule 8(1)d of the ATT Financial Rules

Application

1.    A state applying to make a financial arrangement with the ATT Secretariat in terms of Rule 8(1)d of the ATT Financial Rules is expected to submit a Note Verbale to the ATT Secretariat at: info@thearmstradetreaty.org containing the following set of information:

• Name of the state
• Reasons for the non-payment of financial contributions to ATT budgets
• Amount of total outstanding financial contributions to ATT budgets
• Proposed payment plan reflecting instalments and dates by which instalments will be made
  Please note: The timeframe for the payment plan must not exceed a period of six years.

 2.    The deadline for the submission of applications to make a financial arrangement is 60 days before the start of a Conference of States Parties (CSP).

Processing

3.    Applications received to make a financial arrangement will be processed according to the Elements for a procedure regarding Rule 8(1)d as adopted by the Seventh Converence of States Parties (CSP7).
