CSP9 OPENING SESSION

The opening session of the Conference will take place on Monday, 21 August 2023, from 10h00 -11h00 and will be addressed by the following invited speakers:


  1. H.E. Mr. Jin PARK, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea
  2. H.E. Ms. Izumi NAKAMITSU, Under-Secretary General and UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs
  3. Mr. Gilles CARBONNIER, Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
  4. Ms. Bianca PABOTOY, Gender and Disarmament Associate, Center for Peace Education - Miriam College (Control Arms)

   

THEMATIC DISCUSSION ON THE ROLE OF INDUSTRY

The thematic discussion on the Role of Industry will take place from 11h15 to 13h00. The session will take the format of a panel discussion involving the following speakers:

  4. Mr. Ronald THOMASON, Vice-President, Strategic Programs, Maritime Security Council
  5. Ms. Anita RAMASASTRY, Professor of University of Washington School of Law and Former Member of UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights
